Attorney Edward J. O’Donnell, IV, “Steve”, is a 1990 graduate of Hanover High School. After high school he attended the University of Richmond and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Finance.

Attorney O’Donnell worked for his family’s insurance business for eight years during which time he obtained his Master’s Degree in Finance at the York College of Pennsylvania. He then attended law school at Widener University and received his law degree in October of 2006. Upon graduation, Steve became an associate of the Law Office of Alan M. Cashman and became a full partner in 2007.

Attorney O’Donnell’s concentration is corporate law. He takes great pride in being General Counsel for Ox Industries, Inc. – a position he has held since 2008. Steve was the President and co-owner of Weber Insurance Agency from 2012 to 2018. He is admitted to practice law before the Court of Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and Federal District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

Attorney O’Donnell resides in York County with his wife and two children. In his spare time, he can be found on a boat, at the beach and fishing.

Genevieve E. Barr, Esquire

Attorney Genevieve E. Barr is a graduate of West York Area High School, and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 2006. Attorney Barr received her law degree from Widener University School of Law in 2010. She joined the law firm after graduation and became a partner in 2014. Her dedication to her clients has resulted in numerous favorable resolutions in her career and an excellent reputation throughout York and Adams County.

Attorney Barr’s practice areas include corporate law, real estate transactions, estate planning, estate administration, divorce, custody, and adoption. She is admitted to practice law before the Court of Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and Federal District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. Attorney Barr is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the York County Bar Association. 

Attorney Barr resides in York County with her husband and two children. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children, family and friends, and taking trips to the beach.

Nikki Thacker

Paralegal

Nikki has been part of the O’Donnell & Barr team since 2013. Starting out as a part-time receptionist, Nikki worked hard toward her goals and is a 2016 graduate of Post University where she earned her Associate of Science in Legal Studies. Nikki takes great pride in connecting with clients and helping them achieve results they strive for. Her main practice areas are Corporate Law and Estate Administration. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her two dogs, family and friends, reading and traveling.

Kimberly Patterson

Legal Secretary

Kimberly has been with O’Donnell & Barr Law Group since 2012. Kimberly is a graduate of South Western High School and Consolidated School of Business with an Office Associate’s Degree. Kimberly enjoys all aspects of being a team member of the firm, but mostly she enjoys the satisfaction of assisting clients achieve a positive resolution to their matters. When not working, Kimberly can be found outdoors or spending time with family and friends.

Trevor Spangler

Accounting

Trevor joined our firm in 2020 as our Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining the firm, Trevor had been employed with our sister company Black Abstract, Inc. since 2016. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Southern New Hampshire University. When not working Trevor enjoys traveling.
